The above is what I think whenever i’m about to get treated to a Joe Moses feature. In LA, he does a ton of features for the likes of YG, Ty Dolla $ign, Mustard and a lot more. What he lacks though, is strong bodies of work on his own. His new EP, SuWop, is very different. He sounds more focused, the songs here all have a core subject they’re expressing and the features work great for him here.
Only 7 songs in total, he doesn’t leave a lot of room for error, but that’s a test he passes with flying colors. The best song has to be “16s,” which features a crazy sample I didn’t know I needed Joe Moses on until I heard it. His collab with Snoop doesn’t disappoint either, oozing west coast vibes all over it.
