Continuing his seamless transition from rapper to reporter, Joe Budden used the sixth episode of his “Pull Up” interview series to tap in with one of hip-hop’s more interesting personalities. Long Beach’s Vince Staples. Throughout the nearly hour-long conversation, the two touched on the popularized duality of Vince’s personality, deducing that this eclectic crip truly does not give a fuck about the music business.
And while Budden and Staples touched on various somber topics such as the death of Staples friends and grandmother, the rapper combated the sadness by sprinkling in jokes that were mainly focused on Joe’s hat.
“You look like one of my momma’s homies,” Staples said before ending the interview by sending a message of “peace, positivity, and keeping that thing” on him.
