With the release of his surprise album, Kamikaze, Eminem revamped his Slim Shady persona to create a project that angerly critiqued today’s music scene. As a result, the critically acclaimed album was met with a slew of personal backlash. To which Shady decided to address via a lengthy interview with Shade 45 DJ and longtime colleague, Sway.
In this interview is broken into several segments with Part 1 and 2 being the latest releases. In this conversation, Em discusses the love/hate relationship that embodies his Hip-hop tenure as well as the flop of Revival. Yet, the portions of the dialogue that are receiving the most attention are his takes on the beefs addressed in Kamikaze. Highlighted mostly in the second installment, Em explains the origins of his disdain for MGK, why his supergroup, Slaughterhouse, failed, and the reason he decided to fire back at former Slaughterhouse MC turned media commentator, Joe Budden.
